The Beginning
Waylon J’s started way back in 1977 when Durt came to the realization that he was a stubborn S.O.B. He wanted to make the best bbq on this side of the Rio Grande and his cousin Billy Durt wanted to jump on the so called, bandwagon. Not a real wagon.. ya know what I mean. They soon put their expertise together (Billy the fastest gunslingin’ beverage director in the entire world) and set up shop down in Austin, TX. The ol’ mecca for bBQ enthusiasts. Soon they would team up with Tweedy at the famous, Tweedy’s Bar. Go figure!
